North Halstead

When we got to Chicago, we parked in the lot across from the hostel. We took the Red Line north to the game. There wasn’t a lot of time for sightseeing. After the game, and our frappachinos, we decided to walk south and see what we could see.

We walked east on Addison and made a right onto Halstead. The neighborhood is called North Halstead. I’ll let you search on your own to find out why that is ironic for Karl and me.

We walked south, at a pretty brisk pace…looking for the next neighborhood. We ventured into Lincoln Park where we found dinner at Mamasita’s – GREAT Mexican fare. We wandered our way south, from Starbucks to Starbucks…through Old Town, the Magnificent Mile, across the Chicago River and back to the hostel. Tired & sore feet and all…happy to be back to our bunk.

Peace - Izzy
