Cleveland Post Game

At the games we are keeping score cards, taking pictures, tracking stats...all the fun stuff that keeps baseball interesting...but I'll leave the game summaries up to Karl...so stay tuned...

After the Indian's game, we decided to head a few blocks north to check out the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and Cleveland Brown's Stadium. We would miss the traffic this way...not to mention hit a few of the icons of the city. Along the way, it was hard not to notice downtown is decidedly all business. Other than a few bars & pubs near "the Jake", there was nothing but high rise office buildings.

As we neared Lake Erie however, there was a steady stream of folks heading south. They inquired as to the fate of their beloved "Tribe". We broke the bad news and continued on. We also noticed something else...there were lots of "couples" leaving the water front. As we drew closer, we decided to return to where we came from, a few steps further apart.

We did wander over the Brown's stadium, since there were signs of activity emanating from within. When we got to the gate, we found out the Chinese and USA women's soccer teams were engaged in an epic battle on the pitch. The game was half over, and the tickets ranged in price from $18 - $150. We declined the offer to join the 6000 folks inside the massive stadium and proceeded to return to the car, and to continue west on our journey.

After plugging in Wrigley Field into the sat-nav...we stopped off here, at Borders, to grab a beverage and jot down some of our travels, while we had the time. Next stop, a hotel room with our name on it...somewhere between west Cleveland and Chicago IL.

Peace - Izzy

Izzy,
I hope you're having a blast. In addition to your fill of hotdogs, make sure to eat a bratwurst in Milwaukee.

PS please spell Cleveland right...not Cleavland.

Sorry Paul. Izzy cannot spell - you should know since you are his boss.
